Our Ministries

Adult Education and Mission

At St. John's we have an "all hands on deck" approach to adult ministry.  Whether it's involvement with worship, or serving in the community, there's a place for you to find your niche!  Periodically we will have dynamic and interactive adult education hours on Sunday mornings, with our next one coming in Lent (9-10am, includes free continental breakfast).

One particular mission that St. John's carries out involves those who defend our freedoms.  "The St. John's Troops Mission" project is in its third year. Currently, the packages go to Afghanistan. Emails and letters have indicated just how much our packages and thoughts are appreciated!

All in all, you'll find a welcoming, yet challenging, environment at St. John's.  We genuinely believe in God's mission to change the world through his love!

Kid's and Family Ministry

St. John's is a great place for kids and families!  We strive to include them in everything we do but also have excellent programs geared just for them and their needs.

Every Wednesday night (6:30-7:30 pm) we have IGNITE! in the Family Life Center.  IGNITE! is a place where kids can have fun, learn and experience the Christian faith, and be with their friends.  We mix that in with Christmas parties and Halloween events, among other festive and fun activities!  IGNITE! is for youth in Pre-k through 7th grade (broken down into appropriate age groups).

We also will have other fun family events throughout the year including a kid-friendly Live Nativity/Worship Service at Christmas, Egg Hunt at Easter, and a "Back to School Bash" in the fall.

Our volunteer staff

Casee Trapp, Spark! Director

Spark! is our Sunday morning Kids program during worship for children 6 months to 5th grade.

Casee has have always been passionate about wanting to make a difference for kids. Even as a child, all she knew for sure was that when she grew up she wanted to be a mother and help kids in need.

She also volunteers in the community by coaching youth sports. She has been doing that for 5 years. She loves making learning fun and keeping the kids engaged and active. She believes every child is a gift from God and her goal is to make sure they know it.  You can reach
